Blood, Blood Everywhere

OK, so it wasn't THAT bad. But here goes.

Anthony was running in the house this morning, and taking after his mommy's gracefulness, fell. His lip caught his fall, and boy was it a doozie. A quick trip to the ER, one stitch later, and we're home. There was some crying (Anthony), some freaking out (me) and some quick driving (Mark) involved in getting to the ER, but I'm happy to say that we're home. This has happened before and we all came away unscathed then, too. What can I say? We're survivors.

And speaking of blood, we have labs tomorrow morning. I'm hoping that they will be fine considering he's been sick for a week. Usually his liver function tests will go up a bit when he's got something viral/bacterial going on, and he's not been eating very well, so his Prograf absorption is going to be high (meaning he'll have a false high reading on that blood draw). If everything is fine, though, I think I'm going to ask if we can go to labs every other month.

Anthony hasn't had fever since Thursday night, so he'll return to day care tomorrow. I'm sure he's going to be a REALLY happy camper about that. It's kind of torturous, I think, to have to get stitches one day, a blood draw the next, and have to go back to day care, too. Poor kid.

Love, Laurie, Mark and Anthony

Coming up in Anthony-land:
Monday: labs and day care
Tuesday: Nana and Grandpa leave for New York
Wednesday and beyond: stay tuned!

Ouch, okay Anthony, enough of that. Why is it that the mouth and lip bleed so much. I hope he is phasing back in to day care.
FOUR more days until you are TWO!! Happy Birthday Anthony!
