Disney World - Magic Kingdom

We did Magic Kingdom over the span of three days, and it worked out nicely (although I think we all agreed that we could do with not going back there right away!).

It was overcast the first day, but no less HOT!

Nana and Grandpa got to be driven around the race track by Anthony and Benjamin (thankfully, Grandpa had control of the gas pedal!)

Teacups!

Dumbo!

Flying Horses!

I laughed when Anthony tried to pull the sword out of the stone; there is a timed mechanism that allows the sword to be pulled up slightly, and I thought Anthony was going to fall over with excitement because he thought he was strong enough to pull the sword out.

Benjamin rode the train with Nana and Grandpa while Mark, Anthony and I rode Splash Mountain

Sweetums! I got to see Sweetums at the afternoon parade!

We stayed up late that night, too, to see the light parade and fireworks. I love Cinderella's Castle all lit up at night.

Mickey Mouse!!

We rode Splash Mountain yet again on Day Two

Aladdin's Magic Carpets

It's a Small World (the best ride because it's nice and cool; the most annoying ride because then you have THAT SONG stuck in your head All. Day. Long.)

Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse

Day Three of Magic Kingdom started off with breakfast at Chef Mickey's. And Parrain had arrived!

A little birdie (Nana) told them that we were celebrating Anthony's Kindergarten graduation!

Minnie!

Splash Mountain for the THIRD time

Then we rode the train over to Kiddie Land and let the boys play on the slides

They got to meet Buzz Lightyear!

And then the best part of that day came. We got to meet up with a fellow Liver Mom, Lisa and her family. Aiden (in the red polo) had a liver transplant, too. That's his younger brother, Mason, in the green polo.

Uncle Matt arrived in time to join us at the T-Rex Cafe in Downtown Disney!

With Joey, Lisa, Aiden and Mason after dinner.

I'll post more pictures from our last few days at Disney World soon!

Anthony's Kids Wish Network Trip

I cannot even begin to express how amazing and wonderful a time we had in Washington, DC. Everyone we met was so excited to meet Anthony and knew a lot of his history. There is so much I want to tell everyone, so much I want to write down. I think for right now I'll just post pictures and then add information as the days go on. This post would be far too long with words and pictures. I'll put captions to the pictures, but will write more on each subject later.

I will say this: as I stood in the Smithsonian at the dinosaur exhibit, I couldn't help but let myself have a little cry. Anthony is here. Anthony is healthy. Anthony is amazing. All of that could have been taken from me, and I will never forget that.
