Ten Years with Dad's Liver

There's not much I can say that hasn't already been said. Thank God that Anthony has done so well with the left lobe of Mark's liver (said it...at least a million times!). Thank God that Mark has not experienced any complications himself (said it!). Thank God for the wonderful doctors, nurses, aides, techs who have taken care of Anthony over the years (said it!). Thank God for our family who supported us and who keep on supporting us (said it!). Thank God for our friends who have stood  by us and walked this crazy transplant journey with us (said it!). So now I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves.

Daniel, Chapter 3: 89-90
"Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his love is everlasting.
Bless the Lord, the God of gods, all who fear him, give praise and thanks to him, for his love is everlasting!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I'm thankful, remembering where we were six years ago, that Anthony is healthy and not in the hospital.

I'm thankful for Benjamin, my rough-and-tumble little man.

I'm thankful for a husband who puts up with my crazies and continues to love me.

I'm thankful for the rest of my family.

I'm thankful that I have a job, and one that I actually enjoy.

I'm thankful that I am getting the opportunity to further my education (starting in January!).

I'm thankful.

Thankful - Lazy

I am thankful for a quiet morning doing laundry and sitting on my bed sewing before I have to head to work.

Thankful - A Double Whammy

I am thankful for my state-worker husband having today off; a rare mid-week treat especially since I had today off, too. We were able to accomplish a lot around the house sans kids and it was nice to just be with just him.

I am also thankful for my father who is a veteran of the Vietnam War, even though he will downplay his role in Vietnam as a chaplain's assistant. Still important, still admirable, still my dad.

Thankful - the Comedic Version

Today I am thankful for my not-quite-yet six-year old who told me, "Mommy, I love your soft belly. It's like a really good pillow." Gotta get something out of all of that not exercising!

Better Late than Never...

I had this idea in my head that I was going to post one thing/day that I am thankful for, starting on November 1, through Thanksgiving. Well, today is the ninth, and I haven't even started this challenge. Ooops!

Ahem.

Now.

Here we go.

Today, I am thankful for my faith. It's not always been strong, but it's gotten me through some tough times. Today, it's really working overtime at doing it's job.
