Stupid Knee

After experiencing some pretty severe pain in my right knee over the past few weeks (er, months...), I saw an orthopedist today. He has suggested that my medial meniscus is injured, a tear in the cartilage of some sort. This, of course, will require arthroscopic surgery to repair the meniscus. Until the surgery, the orthopedist will not know if the torn meniscus will need trimming or repairing. I had x-rays and an MRI (the machine was really neat!) done today, and will get the imaging results of the MRI at my next appointment on Thursday. It is then that we will discuss surgery, and any other options I may have.
