Thievery
Ugh! I bought books for class today. $326.84 for FOUR books. FOUR. Oh, and three of them are used. Go figure.
So here's the list of classes I'm taking this fall:
Biology (bought the book)
Biology lab (no book identified yet)
Chemistry (borrowing the book from a friend)
Chemistry lab (no book identified yet)
Clinical Studies (no book necessary for the class)
Math: Statistics (bought the book)
Academic Seminar (bought the book)
Computer Science (no book identified yet)
Psychology (bought the book)
That's a good nineteen hours of class! Yikes!
I attended New Student Orientation today, and was pleasantly surprised to see that I was neither the youngest nor the oldest "new" student there. I was in the second of three sessions, and I'm guessing there were about 50-60 people in my session. That's not a TON of new students, but they said at my session that they are accepting more people to the college this fall than they ever have.
I am so excited to be starting school again! I have one class on Mondays (12-3), four on Tuesdays (9am-7:15pm with a break before my last class), three on Wednesdays (12-9, with a break in between the 1st and 2nd classes), two on Thursdays (12-3, 6-7:15) and NONE on Fridays! A lot of time at home in the mornings to study without interruptions. This is the perfect schedule for me. I'm hoping to have as much studying done during the day times so that my (few) evenings and weekends can have more family time than study time. I'm certainly not limiting myself to that studay schedule, though. I'll study on weekends if/when I need to.
Life here is grand. Anthony is doing great. We don't do labs again until September 5th, so other than simple updates on life and school, there won't be much to post until then!
Thanks for checking in on us!
Love, Laurie, Mark and Anthony
Coming up in Anthony-land:
Thursday: Nana and Grandpa come home from MI!
Friday: Mommy's last day at work!

Let me know when your report card comes - I'll send you a $1.00 for every A. Good Luck - you sound fascinated with the challenges that await you! YOU CAN DO IT!
Snort. I totally misread that and thought you typed ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS for every A. :)
Thanks, Andree!
Laurie: I hope you haven't taken on too much. Don't neglect your family. I love you, Gram
