I Can't Believe it's Been FIVE YEARS.

Five years ago at this time, I was tucking my husband into bed and going to check on my newly transplanted three-month old. What a whirlwind of a day that was! And now it's been five years and today was pretty much like any other day! I think that's how it's supposed to be, though.

Of course, that's not to say that we didn't celebrate! We had a picnic Sunday for a small group of family and friends and Anthony got to play and run around. THAT is why he had this transplant - to LIVE his LIFE. And trust me - this kid does that to the fullest!

Enjoy the pictures. I think they say it all.

Swinging!

Big Brother gives a push

Not quite sure what's going on, but I imagine Anthony's thinking, "Tuh! Girls."

Lunch time!

Getting bubbles

Bubble wand fight!

Daddy's SO silly

"Thanks Daddy"

Ben liked the cupcakes - especially the "H" in "Thanks"

ICE. CREAM. Nom, nom, nom.

Tired after the picnic

Happy Anniversary to a very special boy! And thanks to his Daddy for giving Anthony another chance at life.

Love the shirt. I USED to dress Jeremy in those kind all the time. He wouldn't touch one with a 10 foot pole now.

It sure looked like fun. Wish I could've been there.
Thanks to Mark for giving this little guy a chance to live. What a great life he has ahead of him! And the cute little brother, Ben! What more could you ask for?
Luv y'all, Gram

Wow, FIVE years! Looks like you had a great celebration! Happy Anniversary. As I type, there are tiny snowflakes falling outside my window...just a tiny bit jealous of those short-sleeves!

Take care,
Amanda
