More Pictures

I cannot possibly have enough room in my heart for the two sweet boys I am now a mother to. But I do. The moment my doctor put Benjamin on my chest, I realized that it is possible to love two children; it's been done before and now it's my turn.

Ben is so sweet; so precious. He nursed well at 2:30 this morning and then wasn't interested in anything until 4:15 this afternoon. But when he eats - Lord, he eats! He makes all of these adorable little baby noises - snores, grunts, whimpers, squeaks. He looks like Anthony sometimes, and other times he looks like Mimi or Uncle Matt. It's hard to tell who he looks most like, so I'm just going to say he looks like Benjamin.

I haven't figured out if it's true that the second child gets the shaft on pictures. Ben certainly won't have that to say about his first day! From birth last night until now, we probably have about 300 pictures already! He's absolutely photogenic (have I met a baby who is not???). I'll let his pictures speak for themselves, though!

My labor was as easy for Benjamin as it was for Anthony. I had Pitocin to help my contractions along and once my OB broke my water, I dilated quickly. From water breaking to birth, we waited an hour and forty-five minutes. I dilated from 4 cm to 10 cm in 40 minutes! Eight pushes within a 10-minute time-span, and Ben was born. Thank God for epidurals; a pain-free delivery is what I'm all about!

Oh, Benjamin is just precious. Your monitor up top says 18 more days to go. This little boy would have been a 10 pounder for sure. You guys look so happy and of course you have more than enough love for these two gorgeous little boys. I am so happy for you and I hope you just enjoy the love now. Did I mention how CUTE this little guy is???

Too cute! Can't wait to see more pics!

Laurie, Mark, and Anthony.......
How absolutely precious sweet little Benjamin is. Will have to make another trip to Baton Rouge to visit and hold that sweet baby. Looking forward to more pictures. So happy that Benjamin has a big brother like Anthony. Lots of blessings! And, lots of love.
