Argh

I have recently been able to get a good handle on my all-day sickness with the help of Zofran, an anti-emetic/anti-nausea medication. Unfortunately, my insurance will only pay for 12 pills in a 23-day period. This means that for the next 14 days, I have no Zofran (I took a couple Zofran a day for the first two days, then once in the morning thereafter).

Let me paint a little picture here:

Pre-Zofran: I was sick at least four times before eight o'clock. I was sick once or twice around noon, and twice again in the evening.

With Zofran: I was sick once, maybe twice, before eight o'clock. I was never sick again after that. I did feel nauseated sometimes, but a cracker solved that problem.

This morning: I was sick three times within the space of 20 minutes, and barely got Anthony to school before being sick again in the car on the way home.

Here is my question: does anyone know of a safe-for-pregnancy, natural anti-emetic? I've tried ginger: snaps, tea, ale...and it worked a little. Is there anything else I can try?

I don't really have an issue with being sick in the morning. I can be lazy a bit, and it doesn't really affect my day that much. But feeling constantly nauseated really makes me mad. I'm home for the next month before I start my job; I want to be able to clean, do laundry, keep Anthony home a day or two so we can play...

I can't do any of that right now.

Wow. This turned in to a one-man pity party, didn't it? Sorry to gripe...but I needed to get this out, and I love this journal. I'm sure in a year, I'll re-read this post and laugh. One thing's for sure: in a few years when I get the baby bug again, this post will help remind me why we decided to stop at two kids. :)

Laurie, You've got to talk to Darlene for nausea tips. She was the sickest pregnant woman I know. She was sick the whole time for both Tim and Matt.

I wish I had some advice, but I was never that sick. I was nauseated a good bit, but I just kind of went with it. It does suck though. Maybe it'll be gone in a few weeks . . .hopefully!
