I Love This Face

Anthony's birthday party yesterday was so much fun. He was very well behaved, even with all the excitement and people in the house. Sometimes he gets overly excited and acts wild, but he was really great yesterday.

And, of course, he raked in the goods. It was really just too much! He doesn't think so, I know. I'm amazed that with all of the Lightning McQueen stuff he got that none of it was duplicated. He also got a really fun pirate toy that we've played with over and over, and a helicopter with blades that spin. He's completely amazed by that.

I start my last five days of clinical rotations tomorrow. I'm so glad that this is almost over. These last few weeks have just been really hard on me. The end is near and these rotations are "observation only" meaning I don't get to do anything but watch another tech work for eight hours. It's really boring, and it's hard to stay focused! I think this week will be a bit more interesting...I'm hoping it will be, at least!

After this week is over, I have finals week. I take a final Monday night for an extra class I've been taking this semester. I'd like to eventually go to grad school, and I have a few pre-reqs to get done before I apply. Then I take my exit exam on Thursday at noon for my clinical rotations. After that, I'm done until December 28 when I take my certification exam.

This pregnancy is so hard right now. I'm experiencing morning sickness and then nausea almost all day. I feel fine if I constantly have some carbohydrates or starches on my stomach, but that's not possible when I'm in the lab. So if I have an empty stomach, I feel the need to rush to the bathroom and gag every 30 minutes or so. It's really pretty awful, and I'm praying that it'll pass once this first trimester is over. I'm "only" eight-and-a-half weeks pregnant, so I've got at least four more weeks to go.

I have an appointment with my OB on Thursday, December 6 and will probably have an ultrasound done then. It'll be fun to see the little one.

We will definitely find out the sex of the baby...I just cannot wait until the birth. I know it's been done a million times before, but I have to know.

Please pray that I make it through the next few weeks!

Darling Granddaughter: There is medicine one can take for that nausea. Please ask your dr. right away. I hope the baby is a girl so please find out soon before I explode with curiosity. Love, Gram

Glad to hear Anthony had such a nice birthday.

Also, I feel for you with your pregnancy. I had bad morning sickness (or all day sickness)with all three of my girls.
