Some Things to Remember

Anthony's arms wrapped tightly around my neck as he gives me a hug and him saying, "I love you so much, Mommy."

Seeing Anthony read his night time book to Mark, and saying after each page, "I'm so smart, right Daddy?"

Watching Anthony slowly getting dressed in the morning, taking over five minutes to get his shirt and shorts on. But more importantly, getting to see the look of satisfaction on his face when he's done.

Anthony being glad to go to school, and each day running in to his classroom to see if his best friend is there, and watching the two of them hug if his friend is there.

Getting to still kiss Anthony's scar in the mornings, because even though he's dressing himself, Anthony still comes to me with his shirt up and says, "Kiss my belwy."

Such nice things to remember. Too bad they have to grow up so fast, huh?

Laurie-

I have been meaning to write you for some time. I read your blog regularly and am inspired by yourt strength, and comforted by the "normalcy" that can be had when faced with this scary disease. Anthony is so adorable!! Reading about "the little things" is sucha treasure.

:) Hugs and smiles-

I love when they add the "so much" in there. "I love you SO MUCH" or "I missed you SO MUCH" It is sooo sweet.
