Antibiotics
Mark took Anthony to the pediatrician this morning, and found out that Anthony has "borderline" ear infections. To be cautious, the pediatrician put Anthony on Augmentin . This is the least powerful of the antibiotics used for ear infections, but because Anthony had the more powerful antibiotic for his last ear infection, this is the only one the pediatrician can use (well, he could do the Rocephin injections...but, no. We do not want that).
Anyway, Augmentin has the nasty side effect of diarrhea, so Anthony will be eating lots of yogurt for the next 10 days.
The next step is to speak to the ENT and see what she wants to do. She had said at our last visit that one more ear infection would mean tube replacement and an adenoidectomy for Anthony. Another surgery, but thankfully another easy one.
I'll keep you posted!

How did I miss this this afternoon!?!? I feel horrible that I didn't know this. I hope you can get it scheduled soon - and that it puts Anthony on the road to recovery.
